In recent years, PC clusters have been installed at computer centers, and used for many applications. Many of these PC clusters, from small to medium to large scale, use the Myrinet network, which is used in more than 1/3 of the TOP500 supercomputers. For example, some Japanese research institutes have installed large scale clusters, e.g., more than 1,024 processors connected by Myrinet, after their several year experiences on middle range PC clusters. Those large scale clusters have been operated since this spring.
This is the good opportunity to bring together cluster computing researchers, developers, users, technical staffs, and computer vendor engineers in order to share their experiences using PC clusters with Myrinet networks, present the state of the art in cluster computing technologies, and discuss the further open issues.
In order to attend the workshop, you have to register the HPC Asia 2004 conference via the conference page. Be sure that the early registration deadline is 20th June.
